Results:

  1. The tilt table test positive rate of syncope group is 40% (12/30), control group is 0 (P < 0.05).
  2. Positive rate of syncope group of taking nitroglycerin with tilt table test is 72.2% (13/18), and the control group is 20% (3/15) (P < 0.05).
  3. Positive rate of taking nitroglycerin with tilt table test is 48.5% (16/33).

Conclusions: Taking nitroglycerin with tilt table test has the very good sensitivity and specificity to diagnosis of syncope and recessive syncope in old people, and the operation is simple, safe and reliable. It is worth clinical application.
