THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ECG AND PLATELET IN PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS PATIENTS

Authors: Lin Zhang, Wei Wang, Zhong-Jian Li

Objective: To find the relationship between ECG and Platelet (PLT) in Pulmonary Tuberculosis patients.

Methods: Divided the 1083 cases Pulmonary Tuberculosis patients in to 3 groups by PLT. group1 is PLT decrease group, group2 is PLT normal group, group3 is PLT increase group, then analyzed their ECG of each group retrospectively.

Results:

  1. The rate of ECG abnormality in each group pulmonary tuberculosis patients: each group compared with 2 respectively, the difference was not statistically significant (P > 0.05).
  2. The rate of all kinds of ECG abnormality in each group pulmonary tuberculosis patients: with each group compared 2, the rate of tachyarrhythmia, group 1> group 2 , differences between the groups were statistically significant (P < 0.05).
  3. with each group compared 2, the rate of bradyarrhythmia, group 3 group 2 , differences between the groups were statistically significant (P < 0.05) with each group compared 2, the rate of right atrial hypertrophy and right ventricular hypertrophy, group 3> group 2, differences between the groups were statistically significant (P < 0.05).

Conclusions: N/med tuberculosis bacili make Pulmonary Tuberculosis patient’s PLT decrease .That makes the rate of tachyarrhythmia higher . increasing PLT makes the rate of right atrial hypertrophy and right ventricular hypertrophy higher.
