THE INFLUENCE OF FREQUENCY RESPONSE RANGE OF THE ELECTROCARDIOGRAM MACHINE ON THE AMPLITUDE OF CHILDREN’S ELECTROCARDIOGRAM

Aims: To explore the effects of the three range of frequency response of electrocardiogram machine on the amplitude of R wave in lead of the children’s electrocardiogram and millivolt-level noise at baseline,thus provide reliable method for clinical diagnosis and electrocardiogram of children.

 

Methods: Choose 83 cases of healthy children aged 5 to 6 years old , divide them into three groups according to the range of frequency response of electrocardiogram machine, Group 1: 0.05Hz ~ 40 Hz; Group2: 0.05Hz ~ 150 Hz; Group3: 0.05Hz ~ 300 Hz, do electrocardiograms for each of the children with e machines of three range of frequency response , measure and analyze the amplitude of R wave in lead   and observe millivolt-level noise at baseline.

Results: The amplitude of R wave in lead: there are statistically significant differences between Group 1 and Group 2 (P<0.017), there are statistically significant differences between Group 1 and Group3; there are not statistically significant differences (P<0.017) between Group 2 and Group3.

Millivolt-level noise does not appear at baseline in Group 1, the wave is smooth ,but appears in Group 2 and Group3, the wave is not smooth and Group 3 is more obvious than Group2.

 

Conclusion: In the upper limit of 300Hz of the range of high frequency response of electrocardiogram machine ,the greater of the value, the more truly reflect the characteristics of children’s electrocardiogram.
